Job opportunities can be obtained in job training programs, residential care facilities and private social service agencies. The growing population of elderly persons, the mentally disabled and developmentally challenged, pregnant teenagers, homeless persons and those with substance abuse problems will continue the need for Community Service Workers. Other areas where there is continuing growth are in native outreach and community development, especially for youth, as well as rehabilitation.
